More Original Layouts

Posted by Rob on November 18th, 2006

It occurred to me that people looking to customize their MySpace web pages are more inclined to use a premade MySpace Layout instead of a layout generator so all the original MySpace backgrounds I cooked up last summer are, in effect, 'hidden away' in my Advanced MySpace Editor where only power users will run into them. Therefore, so as to not deprive those mere mortals who don't have much time on their lunch breaks and need a great looking MySpace layout 'to go', I'm in the process of taking the best of those MySpace backgrounds and converting them into premade layouts. To this end, as well as in keeping with my motto ~Give the people what they want and give it to them fast~ I've added another 5 layouts to my collection. You can find them at my More Original MySpace Backgrounds page. This is just the beginning so check back in the near future!

100% Homegrown

Posted by Rob on November 8th, 2006

To alleviate what I consider to be serious dearth of truly original MySpace background images of which the copyright is owned solely by the webmaster making them available, I have decided to pull and replace ten MySpace layouts here on my site.

These ten layouts formerly appeared on the Assorted Backgrounds and the MySpace Music Backgrounds pages and have now been replaced by ten new layouts I worked up using background images that up to now have only been available in my Advanced MySpace Editor. The ten layouts I pulled had background images that I worked up from photos that I acquired from various royalty-free stock photo sites such as Stock.Xchng, BurningWell, morguefile.com:: and the like.

I've decided that from this point forth that I will only provide MySpace layouts containing background images that are 100% homegrown. This means that either I worked up the background image entirely from scratch using Paint Shop Pro (and various other graphics editors) or I modified and reworked a photo that I personally took with my own digital camera.

Much thanks goes to my friend Janet for letting me photograph her saxophone, piano and various other musical instruments and equipment.
